Giving Back to the Community Through Volunteering with Garden of Health

At Prepared Retirement Institute, we believe in not just helping our clients work towards their financial goals but also in actively giving back to the community. Our CEO, Andy Dziedzic, exemplifies this philosophy through his monthly volunteer work with Garden of Health, an organization that provides fresh, allergen-free food to those in need in Montgomery and Bucks Counties, Pennsylvania.

Garden of Health plays a crucial role in the local community by distributing fresh produce and food that is free from the top eight allergens.  While most food pantries collect and distribute shelf-stable items, Garden of Health is unique in that they provide fresh produce and allergy friendly items. This makes a world of difference for families and individuals who suffer from food allergies, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals without the risk of harmful reactions. The organization serves food pantries, low-income senior housing, and community groups—filling a critical gap where donations of allergen-free foods are often scarce.

Once a month, Andy volunteers his time to help unload trucks that deliver fresh food to the organization. This behind-the-scenes work is essential to ensure that the food gets distributed efficiently to those who need it most. Andy’s hands-on approach, whether it is lifting boxes or organizing deliveries, shows his dedication to the cause and the people the organization serves.

Through his monthly volunteer work with the Garden of Health, Andy reflects the values of compassion, service, and community that are core to both his personal beliefs and our company mission. His commitment to lifting others—both in his professional role and through his volunteer efforts—helps strengthen the bonds within our community and shows how small acts of service can have a significant impact.

At Prepared Retirement Institute, we are proud of the work Andy does, not only as our CEO but also as a dedicated volunteer making a real difference. His efforts with the Garden of Health remind us of the importance of giving back and being active participants in building a stronger, more connected community.
