Supporting the Military Community through Service
At Prepared Retirement Institute, we're proud of the expertise and dedication our team members

qualities into their personal lives and communities. Today, we're highlighting Jennifer Chambers,
our Financial Planner, who also serves as the volunteer treasurer for the Spouses' Club of the Fort
Sam Houston Area.
A Central Pennsylvania native, Jen is a proud Army spouse and has been stationed with her family at
Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX since 2021. The military community has a long tradition of
resilience and service to others. For Jen, volunteering with the Spouses' Club is a way to not only
support that legacy but also to give back to a community that has supported her family.
The Spouses' Club of Fort Sam Houston is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers, all
of whom are either active duty or retired military spouses. The club's mission is to create a sense
of connection for military families who face unique challenges such as frequent relocations,
deployments, and separations from loved ones back home. This mission comes to life through social
events, community outreach, and charitable giving. As a military spouse who has moved often in
support of her husband's career, Jen understands firsthand how vital these support networks can be.
In the office, Jen helps clients build financial plans that align with their goals and values. She
applies those same skills in her treasurer role, overseeing the club's budget, tracking income and
expenses, and preparing financial reports for monthly board meetings. It's a role that requires
precision, responsibility, and trust- the very attributes that Jen brings to every client
relationship at PRI.
